PHASE 1 – SCAFFOLDING REMOVAL!
We want to let you know, that all of the scaffolding that has been with us for about the last year, will finally start coming down the first week of August. Although there is still some work to be done, we expect all repairs and the restoration of our towers and the front building façade to be completed by the end of August. This will conclude Phase 1 of our Capital Campaign. Thank you to all who donated and made it possible for the parish to take this huge step forward. But as a reminder, we are only halfway there. Phase 2 repairs must be addressed with the same urgency as the bell towers, as the remaining masonry issues and related repairs to our rose windows are critical. The estimated cost of Phase 2 is $1.5 million, and we must continue raising funds for this segment of the Campaign. We still have a grant that needs to be matched, and we absolutely have to take advantage of this funding. We are grateful for every donation and are asking those who have yet to contribute toward the Capital Campaign to consider doing so.
The deteriorated tower columns have been replaced with newly fabricated ones. What a difference this makes! See the photos below.

The pictures below show the old columns in their deteriorated state and the new fabricated columns ready to be installed. Also shown, the completed brick and mortar work at the upper most section of the towers.

Up close with St. Stanislaus Kostka!
INTERESTING FACT: This mosaic was supposed to be a third rose window, but with the placement of the choir loft and pipe organ, it would not be visible from the interior of the church. This ceramic mosaic was created as an alternative.
The long and detailed work begins!
Almost to the top! The pictures are amazing but come nowhere close to depicting the sheer magnitude of this project. Please continue to keep the parish in your thoughts and prayers as we continue with this glorious restoration.
The tower repairs continue to move forward! The scaffolding construction is in process, with the brick-and-mortar repairs to begin once it is in place. Do not underestimate the magnitude of this project or the unwavering support of our parish and community. This is a huge step forward for Saint Stanislaus Kostka Parish!
The photos below show the pillar removal which will be used as a model to fabricate the 16 replacement columns. This procedure will take approximately 4 months. The pictures shown below are from that process.
