Back in January, we announced that Saint Stanislaus Kostka Church received a $400,000 matching grant from Sacred Places Indiana through Indiana Landmarks and funded by the Lilly Endowment. We were one of only 10 recipients in the state of Indiana to receive this grant. At that time, we mentioned that we would continue to pursue other grants and outside funding.
We recently received notice from the Sacred Placed National Fund with this good news:
” I am glad to share that we would like to invite your congregation to advance in the process and submit a full application. Congratulations on making it this far!”
To emphasize, there is no guarantee that we will receive this grant and even if Saint Stanislaus Church is selected, we have no idea of the amount.
We just wanted to share the news because this is a very competitive national grant, and we are excited and hopeful to have gotten to this point. This is the third year we have applied and the first year to advance. To be selected from hundreds of national applicants is a big deal.
